Description

This internship aligns with the Cabinet-approved public service graduate programme (established December 2002) to build workplace skills for unemployed graduates. Participants will gain hands-on experience in corporate disclosure and compliance regulation. Successful candidates must sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement. CIPC emphasizes equal opportunity and affirmative action, with preference for candidates enhancing employment equity goals. Responsibilities

• Assisting in assessing company disclosures and verifying compliance with statutory regulations (e

• , the Companies Act) using digital tools and databases
• Maintaining and updating corporate governance data, records, and filing systems to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
• Conducting research on legal, compliance, and governance matters, including checking company reports for accuracy and supporting internal reviews
• Supporting administrative and disclosure tasks, such as compiling reports, tracking documentation, and facilitating stakeholder communications via IT systems
• Participating in regulatory compliance work, including data analysis and the use of software for monitoring and reporting purposes, aligned with the ICT/Computer Science qualification

Qualifications

• Unemployed South African citizen
• Aged 18-35 years
• Completed BTech / BCom / B Degree / BSc in ICT or Computer Science (or equivalent)
• No prior work experience
• No previous participation in an internship programme
• Higher education institution graduate with degree/diploma
